I don’t drink alcohol or smoke wee before performing on stage – Quamina MP

Legendary Highlife artiste, Amakye Dede recently encouraged young musicians to smoke wee before they perform on stage because it energizes them to give off their best.

However, fast-rising Ghanaian artiste and record producer, Quamina MP has totally rejected this piece of encouragement from the legendary Highlife musician.

“That’s Amakye Dede and me too I am Quamina MP so everyone has got their own feeling maybe he feels that when he smokes before going to stage he’ll perform very well,” he said in a one-on-one interview with Amansan Krakye.

Sharing his candid opinion on the issue that smoking wee makes an artiste perform better on stage, Quamina MP said he doesn’t feel like drinking or smoking before going to perform on stage.

“Me personally I don’t even feel like drinking alcohol or smoking something before going on stage so the energy you see is the energy that my mother gave birth to me with,” he disclosed on Cape Coast’s Kastle FM.

He continued on the Kastle Entertainment Show “Sometimes I feel that if I drink alcohol before going on stage I might overreact because if I’m on stage I like to connect with the people so everyone has got their own feeling”.
