Most female artistes quit after releasing a couple of hit songs due to lack of support – Ama Nova

Sensational songstress, Ama Nova known in real life as Mercy Sackey has told Amansan Krakye that most female artistes in Ghana quit along the way after releasing a couple of hit songs due to lack of support in the music industry.

She said “Kudos to all the female artistes who are still struggling but not given up on their dreams because a lot of girls somewhere along give up.

“Since they get fed up without any support and some say this artiste was dope in the music industry but got lost after releasing a couple of hit songs,” she added.

Speaking in an interview on Cape Coast-based Kastle FM, Ama Nova who quit her well-paying job to pursue her passion for music said the lack of support for females in the music industry is detrimental to their career progress.

“It’s not because they chose to quit music but because they don’t have the push that’s if you don’t end up getting a record label to hold you down,” she fumed.
