Before starting our internship, we were excited but nervous.
As people with strong interest in communication, we saw the opportunity as a dream come true.
Deep down, we were unsure of such a dynamic environment.

On the first day, we were surrounded by professionals who spoke with confidence, handle equipment effortlessly and moved softly through tasks.
We wondered if we could fit in.
As media interns, we were introduced to the inner working of radio production.
The tasks ranged from assisting in live broadcasting, to helping with audio editing and even preparing news script as well as graphic designing.
We learnt how to operate studio equipment, monitor sound quality and engage with on-air quest.

Slowly, these tasks became routine and with each completed assignment, our self-doubt began to fade and we grew more interest in the field.
The internship helped us build both hard and soft skills. We became familiar with live recording processes.
The importance of timing and clarity in broadcast media and audio software.

More importantly, we developed communication skills, teamwork and the ability to work under pressure especially during live shows.
Our confidence grew as we realized we were not just observing professionals; we were becoming one.
One of the hardest challenge was being asked to speak on air during live segments.
Our hearts skipped, voice trembled as we questioned whether we could do it.
But with encouragement from our mentors and some practice, we faced the challenge head-on.
That moment thought us that growth comes from pushing past tears.

We were proud of ourselves for doing that.
There were many highlights during our time at Kastle FM.
But one of the most memorable moment was co-producing and weekend segments that received positive feedback from both the team and listeners that recognition made all the effort feel worthwhile and reminded us why we chose this path.
We also had the opportunity to meet and engage with top government officials.
This internship confirmed our passion for media communication.
It gave us clarity about our career path and the kind of professionals we want to become.

We now feel more confident in pursing roles in radio, TV or digital media and we know that we can handle challenges that come with them.
Our internship at Kastle FM was more than just a learning experience, it was a turning point.
We entered with low confidence and left with a stronger sense of purpose, a clearer vision for our future and skills that we will carry with us always.
