There are interests in telling the African story in the African-way, to have the African concepts, contributions done in an advance and standardized studios, all in one district, including sports, theater and anything entertainment.
British filmmaker and actor Idris Elba has been in Accra this past week, meeting with President John Dramani Mahama to discuss his vision of revitalizing Africa’s film industry.
He proposes a collaboration with the government to develop an ultra-modern film and creative village near Osu Castle—offering training, employment, and a dedicated school for creatives.
