Cape Coast in joyous mood on nomination of George Justice Arthur as Metropolitan Chief Executive

The president’s nomination of George Justice Arthur as the new MCE for Cape Coast has sparked a joyous mood among the people of Cape Coast.

George Justice Arthur was nominated as the Metropolitan Chief Executive(MCE) for Cape Coast on 5th April, 2025 by the president John Dramani Mahama, pending confirmation from the assembly members.

The nomination was made after going through vetting and was seen as competent, loyal and deserving for the position as MCE.
The youths of Cape Coast expressed their excitement about his appointment as well as their expectations from him.
In an interview with Kastle news reporter, Dorinda Acquah Jameson, one of the youths by name Samuel Thompson expressed his view on the expectations of the youths from the MCE such as job opportunities, fixing of streetlight, keeping the city clean, and ensuring effective law and order as some of the youth are going astray.
Others also made it known that the MCE must be fair and just to all citizens throughout his administration in order to make the people of Cape Coast proud of him.

Cape Coast appreciates his nomination and look forward for him to uplift the image of Cape Coast.
