Cape Coast: UCC second gate gory accident; One person confirmed dead

At least one person has been confirmed dead in Thursday afternoon’s gory accident in front of the second gate of the University of Cape Coast (UCC) in the Central Region.

The accident occurred around 12:48 pm.

CCTV footage shows how a tipper truck loaded with sand run over three vehicles at the intersection and a pedestrian who was waiting to cross the road.

The accident vehicles included the tipper truck, a Honda CRV SUV, a saloon car, and a rickshaw [commonly referred to as pragyia].

An occupant in the saloon vehicle (red) was unresponsive when he was taken out of the vehicle.
