Dolly Parton postpones shows in Las Vegas over ‘health challenges’

Country legend Dolly Parton has postponed her upcoming sold-out concerts in Las Vegas over “health challenges”.

The star told fans on social media that medical procedures will leave her unable to rehearse and prepare for the six shows, which were due to take place from December 4 to December 13.

She wrote: “I want the fans and public to hear directly from me that, unfortunately, I will need to postpone my upcoming Las Vegas concerts.

“As many of you know, I have been dealing with some health challenges, and my doctors tell me that I must have a few procedures.

“As I joked with them, it must be time for my 100,000-mile check-up, although it’s not the usual trip to see my plastic surgeon!”

The performances of “Dolly: Live in Las Vegas” at the Colosseum in Caesars Palace would have marked her first extended run of shows in 32 years.

According to the singer’s website, she would have treated fans to setlist classics including 9 to 5, Jolene, I Will Always Love You, Coat Of Many Colours.

Rescheduled dates have already been announced, with performances set for September 2026. Tickets are valid for the new dates and refunds have been offered.

Parton’s statement continued: “You pay good money to see me perform, and I want to be at my best for you.

“While I’ll still be able to work on all of my projects from here in Nashville, I just need a little time to get show ready, as they say.”

It comes after she was honoured with an icon certificate by the Guinness Book of World Records in August, awarded for holding 11 record-breaking titles.

The Icon certificate has previously been awarded to stars including Beyoncé, Taylor Swift, Drake, Sir Paul McCartney, and Sir Elton John.

Parton, who is from Tennessee, released her debut album, Hello, I’m Dolly, in 1967 and had a run of hits in the 1970s.
