Finally, Samsung has officially started rolling out the stable One UI 7 update, based on Android 15, for its Galaxy devices. The update first reached the Galaxy S24 series in Samsung’s home base in South Korea on April 7, and is gradually expanding to other global markets. However, users in the US and Canada will receive the update slightly later, with availability scheduled for April 10 and April 11, respectively, as reported by Android Authority.
The initial rollout covers the Galaxy S24 series, including the Galaxy S24, S24+, and S24 Ultra, as well as foldable devices like the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6. Samsung has also announced that other devices, such as the Galaxy S23 series, Galaxy S23 FE, Galaxy Z Fold 5, Galaxy Z Flip 5, and tablets like the Galaxy Tab S10 and Tab S9 series, will receive the update in the coming weeks. Here is the entire release schedule.
But in short, the flagship devices will receive the update throughout April, with older models and midrange devices following in May and June.
One UI 7 brings a redesigned interface with smoother animations and new customization options for lock screens and widgets. A new feature called “Now Bar” shows real-time activities on the lock screen and status bar.
To check for updates, users can go to Settings > Software Update > Download and Install.
