FORMER CENTRAL REGIONAL NPP FIRST VICE CHAIRMAN DONATES 100 BAGS OF CEMENT TO ABURA MARKET WOMEN
The former central regional first vice chair of the ruling party NPP Mr. Horace Ekow Ewusi has donated 100 bags of cement to Abura market women in Cape Coast as fulfillment of his promise made to them during last year’s campaign tour when he visited the market.
In an exclusive interview with Kastle News after the presentation, he indicated that as an indigene of the community, he could not sit down aloof and watch the market to collapse before he could do something hence the need to come in as quickly as possible to save the situation.
He further indicated that, the market women have made several complaints about the nature of the current market that, whenever there is a downpour customers and even traders at the market find it difficult to carry out their activities due the muddy nature of the market, which he said as a man who fulfills hispromises, he needed to do justice to what he promised some time ago.
Receiving the cement on behalf of the market women, the Abura market queen mother Aunty Cecy thanked the former first vice chair for the gesture he had done them and promised to use the cement to carry out every necessary work that they are suppose to do and also appealed to other benevolent in the society to see their plight and help them because the market has become one of the biggest market due to its current position. According to her the market serves the University of Cape Coast and Cape Coast Technical University and other secondary schools.
The presentation ceremony ended with praises and blessings being showered on Mr. Horace Ewusi.
