National Schools Inspectorate Authority (NaSIA) engages with Stakeholders in Central Region on School Licensing

The National Schools Inspectorate Authority (NaSIA) an agency under the Ghana Education Service (GES) has held a stakeholder engagement on school licensing requirements in the Central Region.

The stakeholders and participants who were mainly proprietors and heads of public and private pre-tertiary schools had the opportunity to be educated on school licensing requirements, registration and renewal processes.

The Executive Director and Inspector General of Schools at NaSIA, Dr. Haggar Hilda Ampadu told Kastle FM’s Amansan Krakye at Coconut Grove Hotel the main reason why the agency was set up.

“NaSIA was set up to develop, publish, promote and enforce the highest quality of standards to be observed in all our educational institutions at the pre-tertiary level in Ghana,” she revealed.

She added “And that requires us to develop the standard which we have, and to publish it which we have, we have a handbook, we have fliers, we have flow chart, we have policies, we have guidelines and to promote.

“Which is why we are doing a nationwide campaign moving from region to region to promote what the standard is and what school proprietors should do and we’re also required to register pre-tertiary schools both public and private,” she concluded.
