Legendary Hiplife musician, Joe Frazier has controversially stated that Nigerian artistes are far ahead of their Ghanaian counterparts so there’s the need for us to do more.
“We can do more than we are doing now in the Ghana music industry because if you compare our artistes to the Nigerians you can see that they are far ahead of us,” he remarked.
Justifying his reasons on Kastle FM in Cape Coast, the ‘Right Now’ hitmaker told Amansan Krakye in an interview that Nigerian artistes always do collabo with big international artistes on their songs.
“The likes of Davido or Wizkid, even when it comes to featuring artiste they feature Rick Ross, Snoop Dogg and the big boys in America because they really understand the nature of the work,” he explained.
Joe Frazier continued, “They promote their local dialects and they are proud of what they have besides they believe in themselves so they are far ahead even in terms of instrumentation, lyrics.
“So we have to also do more in order for us to move further because when a Ghanaian artiste is paid an amount to perform at an event, a Nigerian artiste will take double or more of the amount for that same event,” he ended on the Kastle Drive Show.
