Staffers form guard of honor to celebrate Bawumia’s victory
Presidential staffers and other members of the office of the Vice President celebrated Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.
Presidential staffers and other members of the office of the Vice President celebrated Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.
This followed his victory as the New Patriotic Party’s flagbearer in the just-ended presidential primaries.
Upon his arrival at Jubilee House on Monday, November 6, the Vice President appeared genuinely surprised as he stepped out of his car.
He was warmly received by the staffers, all dressed in white attire.
The staff members exuberantly chanted and cheered as Dr. Bawumia walked through their midst, personally greeting each one of them along the way.
“I want to thank you. This is only stage one. So after you celebrate this afternoon you start work again and then we move forward because there is a lot of work ahead. But I cannot thank you enough for being the best staff I could have ever wished for,” he told the gathering.
He was also presented with a large bouquet of flowers.
In the presidential primaries held last Saturday, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia emerged as the winner, triumphing in 14 out of the 16 regions, while his closest contender, Assin Central MP, Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, secured victory in just two regions.
