I can’t campaign for anyone in the creatives who doesn’t support NPP – Dada Hafco on Dumelo’s defeat

In the lead up to the December 7, 2020 elections, there was a huge debate in the creative arts industry as to whether it was prudent for colleagues of seasoned actor, John Dumelo to campaign against him.

Dada Hafco who is a Ghanaian Highlife artiste and a staunch supporter of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has shared his opinion as to whether it was prudent for those in the creatives to oppose John Dumelo’s parliamentary bid.

In an interview with Amansan Krakye on Kastle Entertainment Show, Dada Hafco born Terry Asare Boamah revealed that it’s not worth it supporting a colleague he doesn’t share political ideologies with.

He remarked “Everyone has got something that they believe in. The fact that my colleague musician is vying for a position doesn’t mean I should support the person at all cost.

“If I don’t believe in the ideologies my colleague believes in, it doesn’t push me support the person. Before you support someone you have to believe in the person’s ideologies,” Dada Hafco said on Kastle FM.

He concluded “But I have colleagues who are in different parties from the one I support so how about that. You need to believe in what your colleague believes in otherwise I don’t stand for that notion.”
