
Why appointments of 43 Judicial staff were terminated with 16 dismissed
16 staff members of the Judicial Service were dismissed from service for offences such as misappropriation/embezzlement of funds, forgery of documents, vacation of post among others
43 appointments were terminated with eight members of staff getting demoted for various forms of misconduct including fighting, drinking of alcohol.
These were contained in the 2022/2023 annual report of the Judicial Service of Ghana made available to journalists in 2025.
In the same year, 526 appointments were terminated while 450 employees were promoted and upgraded.

The Annual Report covers the period from October 2022 to July 2023 for the Superior Courts of Judicature and from October 2022 to September 2023 for the Lower Courts, regarding management and utilisation of funds received by the Judicial Service of Ghana for the administration of justice in the country.
The report highlights all activities undertaken within the Legal Year by the Judiciary and the Judicial Service to further the course of justice delivery in the country not excluding the challenges encountered in the processes deployed.
The report also highlights significant lessons learnt through last year’s activities leveraging on same to guide projections and strategies for unresolved and outstanding issues regarding delivery of justice.
This Annual Report outlines the achievements and successes chalked, challenges encountered and the way forward.
It is composed of activities implemented by various Departments and Units of the Judicial Service.
