It’s impossible for Nana Akufo-Addo to bring ‘Wutah’ back as a music group – Wutah Kobby declares

In 2008, Wutah as a music group allowed the then presidential candidate for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to use their reggae hit song ‘Big Dream’ for his political campaign even though he eventually lost that general election.
Since then the music group, Wutah collapsed only to be reunited again by sensational hiplife artiste, Guru to produce the timeless hit song ‘Bronya’. However, once again the duo have gone solo with Wutah Kobby vowing never to work with his colleague again.
Wutah Kobby in an exclusive interview on Cape Coast-based Kastle FM 90.3MHz with 2020 RTP Awards nominee, Amansan Krakye was asked if he’s ready to accept to perform ‘Big Dream’ with his former group member, Afriyie for President Nana Akufo-Addo should they get the invitation.
He responded “In 2008 when Wutah as a music group gave our song Big Dream to President Akufo-Addo it wasn’t just for the money but it was because we shared in his vision and aspirations he had for this country.
“I’m ready to perform Big Dream again for Nana Addo but this time as a solo artiste. I have said that expecting Wutah to come back again as a group is like expecting a ship to land at the airport.”
He added: “I’m not sure Nana Addo can bring us together again as a music group because right now I want to focus on my career path as a solo artiste for now.”
