Dj Khaled heard of drill music from Kumerica because they were trending globally – Ball J

Kumerican movement rapper, Yaw Tog, was adjudged winner of the best Hip Hop Song of the Year at the 22nd Vodafone Ghana Music Awards with his popular song ‘Sore’.

Born Thorsten Owusu Gyimah and known in showbiz as Yaw Tog, he majors in drill music and his claim to fame was with the remix of ‘Sore’ which featured Stormzy from UK and Kwesi Arthur.

Record Producer, Ball J born Albert Serebo Ayeh-Hanson has congratulated the Kumerican movement artistes for their enormous efforts in gaining worldwide recognition with drill music.

He told Amansan Krakye “They’ve done really well with the Kumerican drill, they trended worldwide. Dj Khaled heard of drill music from Kumerica because they were trending on twitter.

He added “They have to be smart and come out with something new and I saw video of the Kumerican movement with an African wear and if they push that more it’s going to help them”.
