Awards help gospel artistes to reach those who have never heard our songs – MOG Music

Gospel male vocalist, MOG Music born Nana Yaw Boakye has said in an interview with Amansan Krakye that awards and nominations helps for most people to know their songs and follow the works they churn out.

“Even though awards aren’t the focus of our songs when it comes it really helps the work that we’re doing as gospel artistes,” he revealed on Kastle FM in Cape Coast.

He continued “Those who have never heard your songs will like to follow up because of the awards and such people might also fall in love with the works and will subsequently become a fan.

MOG Music who has been nominated in 3 categories at the 2021 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) said gospel artistes also need awards to help them spread out the good messages in their songs.

He added “So that’s the advantage of being nominated for awards when you get nomination it helps for those far to be able to hear your music and become a follower just like we’re now friends due to my songs that got VGMA nominations.

“In a way it’s very helpful just like how you’ve called for us to have this interesting interview on your radio station it’s all due to the awards we get nominated for through the songs that we do,” MOG Music ended.
