Charli XCX Brings ‘Brat’ To The 2025 GRAMMYs With A Performance Of “Von Dutch” & “Guess”
The British star was one of 2025 GRAMMYs' most-nominated artists and brought the Ceremony to a close with her performance-turned-rave that was oh-so-brat. Krystal Rodriguez | GRAMMYs / Feb 2, 2025 - 09:23 pm
The 2025 GRAMMYs telecast has been reimagined to raise funds for MusiCares Fire Relief, a dedicated campaign to support the people affected by the recent wildfires in the Greater Los Angeles Area.
Charli XCX turned Crypto.com Arena into a rave at the 2025 GRAMMYs, where she delivered a wild live performance of “Von dutch” and “Guess” from her GRAMMY-winning album brat.
Making her entrance from the parking area in a fur coat and lingerie, Charli debuted onstage at Music’s Biggest Night with her it-girls in tow. The space transformed into a makeshift rave while she sang “Von dutch,” which won Best Dance Pop Recording earlier in the night — giving new meaning to her lyrical declaration: “It’s so obvious, I’m your number one.”
The British star then took the afterparty onstage, performing the suggestive Billie Eilish collab “Guess” among a sea of writhing limbs, booming bass, and flying undergarments.
Charlie walked into the 67th Annual GRAMMY Awards as one of the night’s most-nominated artists, earning eight nominations in total. She ended the night with three wins, including Best Dance Pop Recording (“Von dutch”), Best Dance/Electronic Album and Best Recording Package.
Charli’s performance served as a triumphant return to the GRAMMYs, as she was last nominated in 2015 for her hit Iggy Azalea collaboration, “Fancy.”
Charli’s GRAMMY appearance also encapsulated how brat took the singer into a new stratosphere in 2024. Her celebrated Brat Summer turned into an entire Brat year, kicking off with a Boiler Room event (aptly titled PARTYGIRL) in February. Charli’s big year spawned a viral TikTok dance, a collaboration-stacked remix album (brat and it’s completely different but also still brat), an arena tour with Troye Sivan, and a double-duty host and musical guest spot on “Saturday Night Live.”
Still, like the 24-hour party girl she is, Charli’s not yet done. In April, she’s due to perform at Coachella, as well as kick off her first solo U.S. arena tour. She also reportedly has a film in the works, as announced by Variety, which states she’s “teaming up with A24 to produce and star in a new movie called The Moment, based on her own original idea.”
