I want to beat the odds and succeed without being a record label signee – Black Sherif
‘1st Sermon’ hitmaker, Black Sherif known in real life as Mohammed Ismail Sherif has said on Kastle FM in Cape Coast that he wants to beat the odds and succeed without being signed on any record label.
“In this our society you have to be able to beat the odds in order to succeed in the music scene since we don’t always see others do same,” he vowed.
He continued “Where I come from in Konongo the perspective we had as kids was that once you’re into music a record label must sign you or help you to get to the top”.
Speaking on the Kastle Entertainment Show hosted by Amansan Krakye, Black Sherif disclosed that he’s determined to succeed in music without support as a solo artiste to inspire others to do same.
He remarked “It’s very difficult doing music alone without any support but I didn’t come this far to lose so I can’t stop doing it.
“It’s very difficult but if I continue doing it till I succeed it will inspire others who also want to aspire for greatness,” he told the host.
