REACH OUT TO OUR OFFICE FOR MORE OPPORTUNITIES-GEPA TO SME’S IN CAPE COAST

The Ghana Export Promotion Authority (GEPA) has organised a maiden business fair in Elmina in the Komenda Edina Eguafo Abrem constituency.

The Ghana Export Promotion Authority (GEPA) has organized a maiden business fair in Elmina in the Komenda Edina Eguafo Abrem constituency.
The fair was aimed at presenting an opportunity to entrepreneurs and business owners in the KEEA municipality as well as others in the Central Region to showcase their products. Delivering the keynote address, Central Regional Minister, Mrs. Justina Marigold Assan lauded GEPA on their decision to organize the fair. She encouraged them to continue the good work of promoting the exportation of locally-made products. Mrs. Assan stipulated that the fair was to showcase the talent, skills, and abilities of the people of KEEA and represented the spirit and ingenuity of the people.
She further added that her office will take advantage of the fair and even expand the scope in the subsequent event to attract people from all over the country to explore the tourism potential in the region as well.
The Deputy Chief Executive Officer in charge of Finance and Operations at the Ghana Export Promotion Authority, Mr. Samuel Kofi Dentu said the objective of the fair was to enlighten the youth on the essence of entrepreneurship and expose them to export opportunities.
Mr. Dentu, who is also a native of Komenda Edina Eguafo Abriem, also encouraged local business owners and entrepreneurs to reach out to them via their offices and online channels to access information and help for their business operations and export dreams.
He added that the expo would be an annual event to give other businesses the avenue to exhibit and market their products.
The expo featured exhibitions on fashion (clothes and fashion accessories), food products, agricultural inputs, skincare, and cosmetic products. Participants at the fair expressed delight at the opportunity to showcase their products. They expressed gratitude to GEPA for training them on business registration processes, acquiring certification and approval from institutions such as the Ghana Standards Authority and the Food and Drugs Authority.
