Some prominent radio station owners are heavily engaged in galamsey – Wutah Kobby alleges
Silky vocalist, Wutah Kobby known in real life as Daniel Morris Nyarkoh has alleged in an interview with Amansan Krakye that some prominent radio station owners are deeply engaged in “galamsey”.
“I think that right now people want to do music in different ways,” he said.
“Excuse me to say that these big men that are heavily engaged in these galamsey activities are the same people who own some of these radio stations,” he alleged.
Wutah Kobby made these comments on the Kastle Entertainment Show via Kastle FM in Cape Coast when he was asked why musicians in Ghana aren’t doing songs to condemn ‘galamsey’.
He continued “So if you go ahead to do a song about the dangers of galamsey where would you even play these songs for others to hear.
“And how would doing a song about galamsey pay you or what would be the benefits in singing a song like that,” he added.
He told the host “I think that what we’re doing on social media by condemning galamsey is equally good and also going far”.
