Those who practiced ‘trumutrumu’ in the olden days did it in secrecy – TiC reveals

Celebrated iconic Hiplife artiste, TiC formerly known as Tic Tac has disclosed that homosexuality is an age-old canker but those who practiced, did it in secret.

“We Ghanaians should be honest to ourselves, in the past those who were homosexuals used to do it in secrecy,” TiC remarked on Kastle Drive.

Speaking to Amansan Krakye in an interview on Cape Coast-based Kastle FM, TiC said it’s quite surprising that discussions about LGBTQ+ has flooded the airwaves.

He continued “When we heard that some countries have legalized homosexuality, we became surprised and asked how did it happen.

“But today is now here in Ghana and we are being pressured to accept it as a normal way of life and we’re also discussing whether to legalize it or not,” he ended.

The Member of Parliament (MP) for Tamale South, Alhassan Suhuyini, says the biggest challenge of those in the LGBTQ community is harassment they suffer from Ghanaians who abhor the act.

The lawmaker said that the LGBTQ Bill will enhance the law on assault thereby protecting persons in the LGBTQ community from abuse and torture.
