I’m against same-sex marriage but I don’t want to be a notable voice condemning it – TiC

A member of the Coalition of Lawyers, Academics and other Professionals calling for Parliament to scrap the Anti-LGBTQ+ Bill, Akoto Ampaw, says the Coalition does not support same-sex marriage.

According to Lawyer Akoto Ampaw, the group rather abhors the violation of human rights and also said the Bill is in direct conflict with a number of constitutionally protected fundamental freedoms.

Ghanaian Hiplife legend, TiC born Nana Kwaku Okyere Duah has also supported the fight against same-sex marriage but doesn’t want to be a critical voice condemning such acts.

“We were brought up in a Godly manner so as for me I don’t want to be part of the discussion but I don’t encourage same-sex marriage,” he told Amansan Krakye in an interview.

He said on Kastle FM “But I also don’t want to have a particular voice in it that I don’t encourage same-sex marriage but if you ask me anywhere I will tell you that I don’t encourage same-sex marriage.

“Satan is very powerful but I was born in the house of the Lord so I know that same-sex marriage is a no go area for me, and my family,” he told the host.
