The Queen Mother has therefore pleaded with the government to hasten activities to restart the Komenda Sugar Factory to employ the jobless youths.

“We have heard that the Komenda Sugar Factory will start working hopefully the next year 2022 so we’re happy because we need development,” she remarked.

Nana Adjoa Badu II revealed, “The kids in this town have become thieves because they don’t have jobs to do here so we plead with the government to restart the factory”.

Speaking to Amansan Krakye of Kastle FM fame, Nana Adjoa Badu II said the deplorable nature of roads in Komenda has made the town lose its unique recognition.

She added “Most especially they need to fix the deplorable roads in Komenda because this town has existed for long but we’re gradually losing recognition.

“The road network leading to the town is very bad so we are begging the government to help fix the roads and we thank the president for building the sea defense,” she ended.
