‘All die be die’ stands for violence but ‘Do or Die’ stands for vigilance – John Dumelo clarifies

Following the declaration by Former President John Dramani Mahama during his ‘Thank You’ tour that the 2024 elections will be ‘Do or Die’, many have expressed varying views about his statement.

Many individuals and politicians have heavily criticized the statement by the former head of state but John Dumelo says their all attempts to equalize it with ‘All die be die’ mantra made by President Akufo-Addo some years ago.

“Yeah I think people just want to criticize and also want to say all manner of stuff to equalize what Nana Addo said that all die be die,” he responded.

Explaining further in an interview on Cape Coast’s Kastle FM, John Dumelo who was an NDC parliamentary candidate said whilst ‘All die be die’ stands for violence, ‘Do or Die’ stands for vigilance.

“I think they just want to equalize it but it’s not the same at all that’s why everyone is trying to make it look like a call to violence but ours is vigilance,” he told Amansan Krakye.

Meanwhile, outspoken Investigative Journalist, Manasseh Azure Awuni has condemned recent statements made by former President Mahama in a strong worded friendly letter.
