On Tuesday 29th September, 2020 Ghanaians showed their immense love and support for Highlife legend, Charles K. Fosu popularly known as Daddy Lumba as he celebrated his 56th birthday with most radio shows being dedicated to solely playing his timeless songs.
Indeed, since his maiden album in the year 1989, Daddy Lumba has produced countless number of hit songs which has culminated into almost 30 albums and in case you think he’s slowing down then you better rethink.
Philip Kwabena Agyemang Appiah-Kubi, popularly known on radio as Roman Fada who also doubles as the manager of Daddy Lumba has revealed that Ghanaians should prepare to welcome another new album from the camp of the ‘Aben wo ha’ hitmaker.
Speaking with Amansan Krakye on Cape Coast-based Kastle FM 90.3MHz, Roman Fada expressed his gratitude to Ghanaians for their love and support for Daddy Lumba the legendary iconic highlife music figure.
“The love and support Ghanaians have shown Daddy Lumba over the years is quite overwhelming especially as he celebrates his birthday. Most radio stations including Kastle FM have dedicated the day solely to play Daddy Lumba songs.
“Amansan Krakye I can tell you exclusively on this show with authority that Daddy Lumba is about to release another album very soon so Ghanaians should expect nothing but the absolute best.
“Even though he just clocked 56years he won’t call it quit anytime soon when it comes to music so far as he’s got the voice to continue singing. You know music is not like football where you go on retirement.”
