It’s ‘nonsense’ to say that I need Achimota School more than the school needs me – Reggie Rockstone fumes

Legendary Hiplife Pioneer, Reggie Rockstone born Reginald Yaw Asante Osei has said that it is nonsense and bullshit for anyone to suggest that he needs Achimota School more than the school needs him after cutting ties with his alma mater.

“As for that one excuse me to say it’s nonsense to say I need Achimota School more than the school needs me. I don’t need them anymore again, in fact we might not even need each other,” he told Amansan Krakye on Kastle FM in Cape Coast.

Hiplife grandpapa, Reggie Rockstone and his wife Dr. Zilla Limann, both alumni of the Achimota School recently announced that they would not be available for anything relating to the institution.

This comes on the back of the controversies surrounding the refusal of the school to admit some students who have dreadlocks with the music legend saying he feels very emotional about the matter.

He said “But the issue on board, yes from an emotional stand point. If you look at me Yaw and my entire family having dreadlocks and I sit to listen to such an issue why won’t I be emotional about it. I like fairness, equal rights I hope you understand me.

“If you say that’s the rule that’s fine but don’t expect me to clap for them for such a decision, never. Even if I’m not regarded by the school at least I have done something for this country so if I was taught at Achimota, then I have been a good ambassador of the school,” he added.

“Because today if you look at your left and right you can say that Reggie Rockstone is an old student and if I haven’t done anything no one would have listened to what I was saying. But yes I’m from an emotional stand point which is no doubt but for every action there is a reaction,” he continued.

“So if you’re some where saying that I need Achimota more than the school needs me then what kind of bullshit is that, are they the ones who put food on my table,” he told the host of Kastle Drive show.

“So let’s put that aside and focus on the issue at stake so in future, with my kids having dreadlocks, if they were to be sent to Achimota School is that how they would have been treated,” he ended.
