My ‘mop hairstyle’ has made me the most uniquely branded female artiste in Ghana – Ama Nova brags

Afrobeat and Afrosoul singer, Ama Nova has claimed that her unique ‘mop hairstyle’ has helped for people to easily identify her brand.

Talking to Amansan Krakye on Cape Coast-based Kastle FM, Ama Nova said that every artiste needs to be identified with something unique since talent alone isn’t enough.

She remarked, “It’s helping me a lot because as an artiste talent is not enough you need push and support but also you need to be identified with something.

“When you step in a room you need to make a statement with your presence though your song and voice might be sweet but then what should people identify you with,” she said.

She added, “And this hair it was a great idea when it came and it has come to stay but from the beginning it wasn’t planned it was something I just tried it really worked out”.

Ama Nova who hails from Winneba in the Central Region further revealed that her mop hairstyle has made people love and approach her whenever they see her around.

“People loved it, everybody who sees it claims to love my hair and it’s different so it’s here to stay and honestly it’s helped me to be identified amongst a lot of people,” Ama Nova continued.

“Because when I’m far maybe someone has seen my video on TV before or on social media and people approach me because of my mop hair,” she ended on the Kastle Entertainment Show.
