We have learnt a lot from the WAC game- Coach Samuel Boadu
Accra Hearts of Oak will be traveling to Algeria to face JS Saoura on Sunday 5th December 2021 for the second leg of the CAF Confederation Cup playoffs.
Hearts of Oak were victorious on Sunday at the Accra Sports Stadium after beating JS Saoura by two goals to zero.
Ibrahim Salifu gave the home team the lead in the first half before Agyenim Boateng came off the bench to add the second to secure the win for Accra Hearts of Oak.
The Phobians squandered a lot of chances but managed to end the game with a two-goal margin which will be of great chance for them to make it to the group stage.
Coach Samuel Boadu believes his side could have scored more goals and bemoaned their missed chances but insisted that his side have learned a lot from their humiliating 6-1 defeat in Morocco when they faced WAC in the second leg of the CAF champions league.
“It’s quite unfortunate, we created a lot of chances but we scored two goals, actually for me, I am not happy at all because we should have scored more than the two goals”.
“Going into the away game, I have learned a lot from the WAC game. So strategically we need to strategies and go for the next match”.
Hearts of Oak will need to avoid three-goal margin results in Algeria if they want to make it to the group stage of the CAF Confederation Cup.
