Cape Coast artiste calls for review to the 25years age limit directive for Pragyia riders by CCMA

The Cape Coast Metropolitan Assembly (CCMA) led by Hon. Ernest Arthur has introduced directives on tricycle operations, sand winning, and open defecation in the metropolis.

Among other directives, Pragyia and Aboboyaa riders have to be above 25years, their operations restricted from the highway, and should be between the hours of 6am to 5pm.

However, Cape Coast-based musician and leader of the youth, Orkortor Perry born George Perry Atta Mensah has asked for a review of the age limit and also the time of their operations.

“As for me I would like to appeal with the assembly that they review or change certain accepts of the new directives against those who ride these tricycles in Cape Coast,” he said in an interview with Amansan Krakye.

He added on Kastle FM “This Pragyia business has been helpful to a lot of people as a source of income but to be sincere it has also caused a lot of havoc but the time for riding should be 6am to 6pm instead of 5pm.

“I think that the 25 years of age limit and above to be a licensed rider is too much at least 18 going or better still let’s fix it around 22years to create more entrepreneurs among the youth,” he ended.
