Commenting further on the reason why he used a mobile phone to shoot ‘Yeeko’ music video, Okyeame Kwame aka Rap Doctor said nowadays there is a higher attraction for music videos which were shot with a mobile phone.
He stated on Kastle Drive that “Every year I do win best music video award but I have also come to realize that every time and season and what is in vogue. Nowadays if you shoot a music video with a phone it’s having higher attraction than using original camera.
“I can give you example like the Dw3 remix music video, it was shot jokingly but go and look at the views. But I think things are changing because currently we have phones which are 4k and 5k. So my thinking was to make the video trendy and young,” he added.
Moreover, Okyeame Kwame, who is the former member of music group, Akyeame, said that he want those at home to find it easy to replicate what he has done that’s why he shot ‘Yeeko’ music video with a mobile phone.
