Accra Hearts of Oak have been knocked out of the CAF Confederation Cup after suffering a 4-0 defeat in Algeria.

The Ghanaian champions went into the game with a two-goal lead from the first leg in Accra and were hoping to make it to the group stage of the confederation Cup

The first half ended 2-0 in favor of Saoura through Abdeljalil Saad and Osama Belletreche.

Belletreche added another goal for the Algerians to give them a 3 goal lead just after the 48th minute in the second half.

The Phobians tried everything possible but were unable to find the back of the net before the Algerians made it 4 on the 88th minute.

Ghana now does not have any representatives in the ongoing CAF champions league and Confederation Cup.

Hearts of Oak will now have to prepare and focus on the Ghana premier league and hopefully defend their title.
