I only became more closer to my mother after the demise of my father – Amerado discloses

Ghanaian rapper, Amerado known in real life as Derrick Sarfo Kantanka has told Amansan Krakye in an exclusive interview that growing up he was more closer to his father than his mother.

“Growing up I was more closer to my father than my mother. The bond between me and my dad was say 99% and that of my mum will be about 97%,” he said.

Speaking on the Kastle Entertainment Show via Kastle FM in Cape Coast, Amerado disclosed that he didn’t click much with his mother until the unfortunate demise of his father some years ago.

“I used to click more with my father but he died some years ago so may his soul rest in peace,” Amerado told the host.

He continued “Since my dad died I now click more than 100% with my mum so that’s how it is my daddy didn’t joke with me at all when he was alive”.

Father’s day is a day for honoring fatherhood and paternal bonds across the world. It is celebrated on the third Sunday of June every year and the 2021 edition happens on the 20th of June.
