Taking Monies from Parliamentary Candidates equals selling your rights to them – Dr. Minta laments

Dr. Kwamina Minta Nyarku in an interactive session with on Kastle FM emphatically pointed out that constituents taking monies from parliamentary candidates is wrong act which a stop should be put to it.

He made this statement after being asked if its right for PCs to be asked for monies from their constituents just because they perceive the PCs are well off. He quickly debunked the assertion and stated that when one does that, he/she automatically sells his or her right of accountability to the said parliamentary candidate and the constituent cannot hold the PC accountable for any actions.

He concluded by urging all constituents in the nation desist from such act and only vote for those who are capable and have the clear intention to help and not to use the portfolio as a get rich scheme.
