President Dr. Akufo-Addo’s order to burn excavators defies logical reasoning – Onyansapow fumes

Ghanaian rapper, Onyansapow Bowanopow born William Sessi has said in an interview with Amansan Krakye that the order by President Akufo-Addo to burn ‘galamsey’ excavators defies logical reasoning.

“In terms of burning these excavators it beats my imagination to waste several thousands of dollars which was used in purchasing these excavators it’s like just wasting people’s money,” he fumed.

He said on Kastle FM “I think it is illegal to burn these excavators because if we’re a country which is supposed to follow the rule of law and those who are supposed to make sure that the rule of law actually works are rather doing worse”.

Talking about the controversial burning of seized excavators, Onyansapow Bowanopow who is based in Chesapeake, Virginia, USA said the excavators should’ve been given to the technical universities for their practicals.

“I did civil engineering at Takoradi polytechnic and those days we didn’t have equipment like excavators for practicals but today I don’t know if things have changed,” he told the host.

He continued “I can boldly say that excavators were one of the equipment we needed and besides we have other technical universities now that if given these excavators it can be of immense benefits to them.

“I feel that we should go back to the table and think about it because there are so many institutions who can make good use of these excavators in the long future and so that’s my take on this issue,” he concluded.
